Something Reminding You of Old Friends

I think friends often give each other gifts on a birthday or some special festivals, which can deepen their friendship to a certain degree. I remembered when I was in high school, I gave some presents to my deskmate an tokens sometime, who took good care of me no matter in learning or living. Every time she would give me some ornaments as return because she knew that I liked dressing up myself at that age. It was a pity that we have lost contact since we went to college. But those gifts she sent me were still sleeping in my casket peacefully, which were the rhinestone star earrings and the Round Friendship Bracelet.

The two gifts were sent on my birthday and Christmas. I can still imagine the scene that I wore big smile on my face on she opened the casket to show me the delicate jewelry. What she selected totally met my demands, which seemed that she and I had good tacit understanding. I remembered at that time I happened to need a pair of earrings and wanted to buy a new one. The appearance of the rhinestone star earrings helped me save some money. Of course, the key point was that it suggested that my deskmate was considerate and she carefully put my interest in mind, which moved me deeply.

As for the Round Friendship Bracelet, it was given on a Christmas when we spent together happily. It was woven by colorful threads, looking specially. When she helped me wear it, I felt it was so unique that I appreciated it very much. Until now I still thought of it as my favorite bracelet though I had so many bangles.

After we graduated from school, we hardly contacted with each other due to busy education or work. I felt so regretful but I didn’t have her phone number to contact her. I know it’s impossible to remember all of the people ever coming into our life. What we can do is to miss them occasionally through some certain things, such as my rhinestone star earrings and Round Friendship Bracelet.
